Doily D-ring Apron
Design Story
Doilies have become precious keepsakes. In District Six they were starched and ironed to perfection, and were often displayed on old ball-and-claw or wrought iron furniture. They took pride of place on sideboards, bedroom dressers, and passageway and dining room tables. The craft of intricate pattern making was traditionally passed down through generations or became family heirlooms. This print is a celebration of contemporary colour and bespoke design, reflective of District Six’s rich cultural traditions.
This contemporary pattern comes with a D-ring adjustable neck strap allowing for a comfortable fit. It has two waist straps and a single front pocket. It’s a perfect everyday kitchen apron. It features a three-colour design, screen-printed onto cotton twill. Fully machine washable.
